Las Animas Dog Rescue Association (LADRA) is located in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Founders Brischa and Ted have created a special culture where volunteers from all around the world come to lend their time to help care for the large number of animals that are in LADRA's good hands.
Las Animas Dog Rescue Mission Statement:
Las Animas Dog Rescue Association is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-based dog rescue organization serving the Puerto Vallarta area.
We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment and the training we can give them to prepare them for their new safe lives.
We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed and to the extent our finances allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority.
We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually all money taken in goes directly to the care of the animals.
We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives.
Dogs brought to health have the opportunity to find a home anywhere in the world! LADRA has sent healthy pups to many different countries including United States, Canada, and even Sweden!
Like LADRA on Facebook and follow them on Instagram to see the amazing work that Ted, Brischa, and all of their volunteers are doing!
Direct donations are also greatly needed and appreciated! With the large number of dogs in their care, veterinary expenses can become overwhelming.
